This project was created from the vision of Keli Procopio and Patrizia Belardi, both Body-Oriented Counselors, with the aim of enhancing the professional role of the WATSU® Practitioner by offering additional tools and competencies specific to the Counseling profession.
Programme Structure
- 132 hours of in-person training across 6 modules
- 150 hours internship and supervision
- 50 hours individual sessions with a licensed Psychologist or Psychotherapist

- Module 1 — Presence of Being; Rogerian Counseling; active listening
- Module 2 — Energetic development; body reading; character structures
- Module 3 — Ethics; Counseling and psychodynamics; referral
- Module 4 — Verbal techniques; integrating sessions with in-water practice
- Module 5 — Social Counseling; trauma neurophysiology; Polyvagal approach
- Module 6 — Counseling in water; session setting; practice with external clients
